
Ahead of the 2017 AFCON qualifier clash against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, the Pharoah of Egypt played an International friendly match against the Stalions of Burkina Faso which they won by two goals to nil.
The two goals were netted by a single player 'Abdallah El-Said' in the match which was played at the Borg El-Arab Stadium, Alexandria.
Abdallah El-Said who plies his trade at Al-Ahly football club in Egypt opened the scoring at 23rd minute of play and eventually doubled the lead through a spot kick.
The win is a massive boost for the Egyptian national team who face Samson Siasia’s men on March 25 in Kaduna, before hosting the three-time African kings on March 29 enroute Gabon 2017.
Cuper’s men top Group G with six points from two games, with Nigeria in second position with four points.
