The Residents of Oke-Afa area of Magboro in Ogun State, Nigeria, were thrown in a shocking moment when they discovered that the robbers that burgle their homes all the while were just two boys of 15 and 16 years old.
However, the flowing water at the back of their smimming fishes got dried-up when some vigillant inhabants of the community challenged them while they were strolling along the street carrying a TV and a big Bag, all stolen a day before.
The young Criminals 'Tunde' and 'Omo Mushin' were interrogated on where they got the load they were carrying by some Residents but they were stammering in their responses which lead to their arrest and were beaten and stripped naked.
According to Mr. Ayoade Ahmed, one of the eye witnesses, “This kind of robbery attack takes place often. Two of my family friends had been attacked in a similar fashion in recent times. The usual thing is that while you are in church, they would steal your electronics and jewellery,” and that they had stolen N600,000 kept in the house including the flat screen television they were caught with and other items found in the big bag, adding that “The man only discovered his house had been burgled when he got home around 11pm that day.
Mr Ayoade Ahmed spoke extensively on the issue, “On Tuesday, residents noticed the two boys passing by. One of them carried a television on his head while another carried a ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag. Some young men then challenged them and asked where they were coming from. The boys said they were coming from their house and that they were taking the television for repairs.
He further added, “But the explanation they were giving did not sound plausible. It showed in their voices that they were not telling the truth. When they were asked to take people to where they brought the television from, they could not say where the place was.”
Meanwhile Tunde was forced to speak to his mother on the phone to inform her of the crime he has committed before they were handed over to the Ibafo Police Division who were later transfered to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta for further investigations.
