In Chad Republic, a young lady 'Zouhoura' was reportedly kidnapped and gang raped by five young men who videod the rape then eventually uploaded the video online showing Zouhoura's nakedness and as she was in tears.
In making sure that the suspects are brought to justice, the Chadian secondary school students in the area went on a protest in the country over the brutal gang rape on the young lady but unfortunately Soldiers fired at the students leaving one dead and five injured
Meanwhile, the secondary school student was the second young demonstrator killed in a week of trouble that has followed a rape whose repercussions touch on the families of senior figures in power.
However, on Thursday, the Chadian government ordered a ban on unauthorised demonstrations with the minister for security and immigration accusing students of “sowing disorder” and saying they were “being manipulated by politicking groups.” That ban came after police used teargas to disperse high-school students in the capital N’Djamena as they sought to rally over the death of a demonstrator killed in a earlier protest over the gang rape.
Nevertheless, three of the suspects have been detained who were sons of Generals in Chad including four alleged accomplices and a son of Foreign Minister Moussa Faki Mahamat.
Notwithstanding, Zouhoura’s father has lodged a complaint and is a candidate in the country’s presidential elections on April 10.
