Olubunmi Christopher Street., Off Arowolo Street., Abule-Egba in Lagos, Nigeria was thrown in a great tragedy when a son of 30 years old 'Ibrahim Oniyide' reportedly stabbed his own biological mother to death with the use of a knife.
According to the Prosecutor in charge of the case 'Sgt. Jimah Iseghede', the crime was committed on the 5th of February when the murderer 'Ibrahim Oniyide' killed his own mother 'Mrs Taiwo Oniyide' by stabbing her to death.
Meanwhile the Chief Magistrate 'B.O Ope-Agbe' has ordered that the destructive son be remanded in prison custody at Ikoyi Prisons pending the release of legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
However, it was reported that the son had a misunderstanding with his mother which made him vent his anger on his own mother by stabbing her to death with a kitchen knife that afternoon and the News Agency of Nigeria reported that the suspect pleaded not guilty but his plea was not taken, stressing that his offence must be rewarded with a death sentence according to Section 221.
