One of the greatest tragedy struck in Thane, some 32 kilometres from Mumbai, India, when a 35-year-old man called Hasnin Anwar Warekar deliberately murdered 14 members of his family including seven children with a butcher’s knife after which he committed a suicide by hanging himself immediately on Sunday midnight.

According to the police in the area 'Gajanan Laxman Kabdule', “The attacker, Hasnin Anwar Warekar, hung himself after slitting the throats of all other family members including his parents,” with only one of his sisters rescued by their neighboors who heard her shouting 'help' 'help'.
The Police man continued, “We still haven’t been able to speak with the attacker’s 21-year-old sister, the lone survivor of the attack, who is in deep trauma at a city hospital,”
Actually, the Indian Express newspaper reported that the muderer who is a chartered accountant stabbed his victims after they went to bed, after he had planned to make them all pass the night at that house.
Gajanan Laxman Kabdule further explained that no one knows whether the victims were drugged by Hasnin Anwar and that  investigators were awaiting medical test results.
Meanwhile the Press Trust of India News Agency shed more light on the matter that “In our inquiry so far, no one has yet been able to give the reason for this,” and that “He worked with a private company in Mumbai. There were no known financial troubles or disputes and now we are hoping that the lone survivor can tell us something about the trigger,”
